I got back home on 27th and honeslty, I'm glad that I packet light, because I unpacked real quickly and was able to sleep a lot.
I'm still a bit doozy due the travel, specially the time zone difference and the climate difference.
A quick sum up of how everything went
16th - Curitiba - São Paulo; São Paulo - Lisboa
17th - Lisboa - Milan; Got a rental can and drove 3-4h hours to Firenze, where I had to register myself and the staff had to see if my equipment was in order. After that, we had to find a market and purchased some food to later proceed to a 30-40min drive to Castelillina in chianti, where the house that me and my friends rented for the duration of the competition.
18th - in the morning we met up with others brazillians and did some warm up shooting;
during the afternoon we had a briefing regarding how the competition was going to happened (we missed because we got lost in Firenze while trying to find the place where the opening ceremony was going to happenen), however we managed to met up with all the other brazillians and the ceremony started;
19th - First day of the compeittion; I took 11 arrowns with me and by the end of the day, I had only 3!!!
ITALY, WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY ROCKS?
Not to mention that this messed up with my confidence, a lot.
Also, we ended up with the worst parkour of the entire competition; it was the longuest with very little shadow and a lot of hills.
20th - My day off, which instead of resting, I spend the entire day looking for an archery shop so I could buy more arrows.
Lucky in one of the parkours (the way people call the track, route, not quite sure how to translate) there was a guy selling arrows and equipment. So me and another friends who were in the same position (broke a lot of arrows) went there to purchase more and we spend the rest of the evening crafting them.
21st - Seccond day of competition; broke more arrows and got upset with myself, so I ended up performing poorly.
22nd - Third day of competition; Lots of ups and downs during the parkour, was very hot but it was actually one of the easiest so far. However I started to charge myself, something that I shouldn't have done, because I started to perfor poorly, again, and got so uptset that the other girls in my patrol (group of archers) started to ask if I was feeling ok.
23rd - Fourth and last day of the competition; I gave up, started to talk a lot with the other girld in my patrol, and decided to just have fun, menaing that I recovered a little bit from the past days, but it wasn't enough. So, I ended up in the 36th of 58 competitors.
After that, we had the closing ceremony, with the awards, and two of my friends got medals; One got a third place, and the other got first place.
24th - We took the can and drove off to Milan, to an hotel near the airport, so we could rest a little befor the long journey back home.
25th - We went to the airport to delived the rental car and took a train to the Duomo, so we could go sight seeing, where we wpend the entire day.
26th - Despite being the day of the flight back home, I had to go back into the Duomo, so I could return a game that I purchased by accident. The idiot over here forgot about the region locked settings; My nintendo 3DS is american and the game that I purchased was European, so there was no way that I was able to play it. So, I got the train back to the store, where I traded the game and got an Overwatch T-shirt (the only small t-shirt that they had avaiable), and Ezio figurine for me and an Arno figurine for my sister.
Got back to the airport and proceed the long waiting.
He had to go Milan - Lisboa; Lisboa - São Paulo
27th - Arrived at the São Paulo airport, we rushed into the counter to drop off our bags, just so we had to rush trough security and all the rest, because our plane was already boarding. However, when we got to the gate, on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FREAKING AIRPORT, the flyght got delayd due the heavy fog in Curitiba. So, after a 2h waiting period, the plane finally took off and we all got home.
A lot more had happened but then the journal would be too long.
I'm just a bit upset because we did go sight seeing the nearby cityes after the competition, however due the late time all the cool stores/museums were already closed and I didn't managed to get some gifts that I wanted, or I was so tired that I just forgot to buy it :/
But it was fund and it seems like the WBHC of 2019 is going to take place in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Once the city gets announced, I'll try to see who lives nearby so we can meet up C:
Hope that everyone have a great rest of the week!
Best regards
Juba ~
